God provides: easy to say, hard to remember

May 6, 2017

God provides.

God providesGod it is you that has made my way. You are the one who picked my parents and the country I was born in. My siblings. My spouse. My economic situation. My education. All those factors that we can not begin to understand. I have to recognize that God provides. You are the one who always had a plan.

You are the one who orchestrated every chance meeting. You are behind every good thing and you allowed every regret. Every bad thing I have ever experienced, whether done to me or done by me. You placed them in my life for a reason. There is purpose behind the pain.

I can not begin to understand. I can not begin to figure out the puzzle pieces nonetheless the puzzle. I sit in amazement. When I look at my life and see how you have provided it is plain to see that the provisions took more time to orchestrate than I could ever begin to claim them as my own.

I do not make my way. I find the way that you have made for me. I listen. I hear. You speak. I follow. You must get the glory.

Hard to rembember

Father keep me ever aware. Keep my in your desired will and help me to cope and trust you with the pains that have come and are sure to come.

I don’t want my way. I want your way. I give you my plan… give me your plan. Lead me down by the quiet waters no matter how the river runs through. Help me trust in you and lead others to you.

Father on my own I am not able. I am not sufficient. My ways all stumble in darkness and I decieve myself when I tell me otherwise.

Fill me spirit with your words. Lead me to the people that you have prepared in advance to hear your words. Empty me of myself and fill me with your words and your spirit.

Please help me to be free from the concerns of the world and from the worries of how people will react and what other people will think. Help me to forget the results and focus on the task.

I yield my spirit to you and I trust in the power of your name.

I hope today’s thoughts help. Even though it is hard to remember when I pause to look I can always see that God provides. Please reach out with any comments or questions. As Iambic as ever, but with grace I still stand.

The Bible says that God has a reason for keeping us here; if He didn’t, He would take us to Heaven far sooner.
